The Amenhotep family, part of Egypt’s 18th Dynasty, includes prominent pharaohs like Amenhotep I, II, III, and IV (Akhenaten). Amenhotep I, son of Ahmose I, ruled c. 1526–1506 BC, extending Egypt’s borders and founding Deir el-Medina. Amenhotep II, known for military campaigns, reigned c. 1427–1401 BC. Amenhotep III, the “Magnificent,” led Egypt to a golden age of prosperity and monumental construction, ruling c. 1390–1353 BC with Queen Tiye. Akhenaten introduced Atenism, shifting Egypt’s religion. Tutankhamun, Akhenaten’s son, restored traditional worship.
